Mr Felix Nachiyunde is a Procurement professional with over (15) strong years of managing end to end procurement activities, across critical and non-critical portfolios covering, manufacturing, Mining, Energy Transmission, Construction and Defense industries. Mr Nachiyunde has an MBA and a Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, both from the University of South Australia. He is a passionate community leader and accomplished professional with extensive experience in team leadership, strategic planning, and organizational development. He has served as the Chairperson of ZASA since 2019 and is responsible for overseeing the affairs of the ZASA community and initiatives that aim to improve the social and cultural well-being of the community.

Mr Nachiyunde’s personal attributes, including his visionary leadership, critical thinking, and innovative approach to problem-solving, make him an asset to any team. He is known for his excellent behaviour and conduct, mature judgement, and pleasant leadership style, which have earned him the respect and admiration of his peers.

As a leader, Mr Nachiyunde is dependable, credible, reliable, and decisive. Dr Bupe Mwamba is a dedicated and passionate Maternal and Child Health Specialist with over ten years of experience in various departments, including Management, Research, Neonatal, and Maternity Care in Australia, South Africa, and Zambia. Currently, she serves as a Lecturer in Nursing and Midwifery at the University of South Australia, where she shares her expertise with aspiring midwives and nurses.

Dr Mwamba earned her PhD in Midwifery from the University of Technology Sydney in Australia, where she conducted research that focused on the health of women and newborn babies. Her research specifically aimed to improve the health of women, newborns, and children, especially regarding the life-long health benefits of practices that occur at birth. She is a firm believer in using quantitative research methods to provide evidence-based interventions that improve maternal and child health outcomes.

Mr Peter Kalala is a Trust and Risk Services Expert at PwC Australia, where he utilises his extensive experience in accounting and audit. Mr Kalala has previously worked for PwC Zambia and Deloitte Botswana, where he gained valuable experience in the field of accounting and audit. He is a highly skilled accountant and a holder of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. Mr Kalala is also a Bachelor of Accounting graduate. Currently, he serves as the Secretary of the Zambian Association of South Australia, where he utilises his excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth operation of the association’s activities.

Dr. Isaac Sakala is an immunologist and community leader. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Immunology from the Australian National University’s John Curtin School of Medical Research in 2008.  Dr. Sakala is a Senior Research Scientist at Flinders Medical Centre, Bedford Park, SA 5042. He is one of the team of scientists that developed a highly effective recombinant Spike protein vaccine to protect against COVID-19 virus, which currently is authorized for use in 18-50 years old humans.  Dr Sakala also is an Honorary Lecturer at Flinders University College of Medicine and Public Health.  With over a decade of experience in research conducted in Australia and USA, Dr. Sakala has made significant contributions to the field of immunology, particularly in the field of infectious diseases vaccine development. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented his work at international conferences.

In addition to his research, Dr. Sakala is also committed to serving his community. He has been an active member of the Zambian Association of South Australia since 2016 and has served as its Treasurer from 2019. In this role, he has been responsible for managing the association’s finances, overseeing fundraising activities, and together with his fellow executive committee members developing strategies for financial sustainability.

He has also been a strong advocate for unity, diversity, and inclusion, working to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the community.  Dr. Sakala’s dedication to his community and his accomplishments in the field of immunology make him a respected leader and role model. He is committed to making a positive impact in the community and inspiring others to do the same.  In addition to his service in the community, Dr Sakala is a devoted husband and father of two children.

Mr Nicholas Ngoma is a dedicated and accomplished professional currently serving as a committee member in charge of events in the Zambian Association of South Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in eCommerce and Marketing, which he earned from The University of Notre Dame Australia. Mr Ngoma has a wealth of experience in the business sector and currently works as a Key Account Manager with One Stop Warehouse (OSW), where he manages client relationships and helps businesses to grow. He has excellent communication skills and is known for his ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Mr Ngoma is a hardworking and driven individual who always seeks to achieve his goals, both personally and professionally. He is passionate about community development and is committed to making a positive impact in the Zambian community in South Australia.

I am well spoken, eager to learn and I do take great interest in teaching and research. Has great communication skills, excellent behavior and conduct. I am dependable, reliable, mature in judgment and have pleasant leadership skills.

I have attained great skill and personal development through my years of experience, advanced study in intensive care and Clinical Education.

Ms Chuma holds a Bachelor of Applied Social Sciences in Community Services, which she obtained from Torrens University Australia. Her academic background has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a meaningful contribution to the field of community service and disability support work. Ms. Chuma works as Disability Support Worker, and serves as a supervisor, overseeing the work of other support workers and ensuring that the needs of clients are met.

She currently serves as a member of the ZASA Executive Committee, where she is responsible for overseeing events. Her skills, knowledge, and experience make her an invaluable member of the ZASA Executive Committee, and she is sure to continue making a positive impact in the years to come.
