The economy of Zambia is largely based on copper mining, but the country also produces other minerals such as cobalt, zinc, and lead. Agriculture is another important sector, with crops such as maize, soybeans, and tobacco being major exports.

Zambia is known for its natural beauty, including Victoria Falls (Lozi: Mosi-oa-tunya “The Smoke That Thunders”; Tonga: Shungu Namutitima, “Boiling Water”), one of the largest waterfalls in the world, as well as its national parks and game reserves, which are home to a variety of wildlife such as elephants, lions, and giraffes. The country has also been recognized for its efforts in wildlife conservation.
